"Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised..."

Helpful Information

  • Randy graduated from West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA with a bachelor's degree in Bible and missions in 2011 and with a master's degree in Biblical studies in 2022.
  • Naomi graduated from her home church Bible Institute in conjunction with Faith Bible Institute.
  • We are sent out from First Baptist Church of Mariposa, CA. Randy's dad, Ray Shull, is the pastor at First Baptist and was a missionary to Cambodia from 2002 to 2014.
  • Naomi's former home church assists us with our clerical needs. Valley Bible Baptist Church of Espanola, NM is pastored by Naomi's dad, Brian McMath. Pastor Brian has pastored Valley Bible Baptist Church since 1988.
  • Randy served as the Assistant Pastor and Youth Pastor at College Heights Baptist Church in Farmington, NM with Pastor Burson Corley from 2013 to 2016.
  • We were married in August of 2015 and then spent the next year serving together in ministry at College Heights Baptist Church.
  • Randy lived in Cambodia with his parents for a combined 3 years prior to moving to Cambodia with his wife and 2 daughters in August of 2018.
  • We spent our first two years in Cambodia learning the language and culture. In the first half of our second year, we covered the ministry for a fellow missionary who was on furlough. During this time we ministered in the Khmer language through preaching, discipleship, and evangelism.
  • We currently live and minister in the city of Chbar Mon, Cambodia - a city of roughly 60,000 people.
  • Our goals are to evangelize the lost, disciple these believers one-on-one, and then organize these disciples into independent Baptist churches which are self-supporting, self-governing, and self-propagating.
Where we stand
  • We believe the KJV Bible to be God's preserved Word for English speakers. We believe the KJV is the best translation from the correct text.
  • We believe in the Pre-millennial, physical return of Jesus Christ to Earth after the seven-year tribulation.
  • We believe salvation is available to all men, but only those who by faith believe on Jesus are saved from sin and hell.
  • We believe every believer is gifted by the Holy Spirit for service, yet sign gifts ceased in the 1st century.
  • We believe the church to be local and visible. We denounce the idea of a "Universal Church".
  • We believe Christians are to live a holy life that is separate from the world. Our music, entertainment, and dress ought to reflect our identity as children of God.
  • We believe every Christian is to be involved in each aspect of the Great Commission. Every believer is to be actively sharing their faith and making disciples of all nations. The Great Commission is not just for missionaries, but is rather the marching orders of every church and church member.

Pastoral Recommendations

I would like to recommend to you Randy and Naomi Shull as they seek to go to the mission field of    Cambodia.  We are thankful for the blessing the Shulls have been to College Heights Baptist Church. This is more than just a letter of recommendation, because the Shulls are like family to us.
In July of 2013, Bro. Randy Shull came as a missions intern to College Heights Baptist Church. Being a smaller church, an intern must do whatever needs to be done. As a young man out of Bible College, Bro. Randy proved himself to be a self-starter. He has gained much wisdom and has been willing to learn as well. Bro. Randy has grown and shown himself faithful in the short three years he has been with us. If there is one thing that I see in Bro. Randy, it is a steadfast longing to get back to Cambodia and reach people with the Gospel. We have been out soul winning together many times, and Bro. Randy has been faithful to passionately and skillfully share the Word of God with lost people. He has discipled people in the church and has helped our members grow through his preaching.
As Bro. Randy came to work with College Heights Baptist Church as a single man, he stepped out by faith, trusting the Lord to lead him to a spouse who would share in his desire to serve God on the mission field. What a blessing it was to our church to see God bring two lives together in service for the King of Kings! God not only provided Bro. Randy with a wife, but God brought him a wonderful servant who desires to serve God wherever He leads her. As a couple, they have served at College Heights Baptist Church and have been a blessing.
I truly believe they are going to do great things for God as they reach souls in Cambodia. I ask that you prayerfully seek the leading of the Lord in investing in souls in Cambodia and get behind the Shulls with prayer and finances.

The greatest joy in life, by far, is knowing that your children walk in the truth of God’s Word. I have been blessed beyond measure to call Randy my son. God has placed a special call upon his life for the people of Cambodia, which he has willingly accepted. He is a young man that has served the Lord his entire life and has never wavered from his commitment to Christ.
Randy left America when he was 17 to live in Cambodia where my wife and I served as missionaries for 11 years. As you can imagine, it was a very difficult transition for a teenager to leave his many friends, Christian School, youth group and everything that was familiar, and go to a faraway country which he knew nothing about. It was a challenge that was greater than my wife and I realized. To be honest, he struggled at first, and it was a very hard adjustment. Though extremely homesick and lonely, he never complained. I can still remember the day after several months of living in Cambodia when he made a determination that he was going to bloom where he was planted. He picked up his basketball and went to a nearby school and started building relationships with those he met while playing basketball. It was by building these relationships that he learned the Khmer language without formal education. By just playing basketball, and caring for the people, he learned how to communicate with them. As Randy adjusted to Cambodia and the Cambodian people, he became very close to many of the teenage young people in the churches. He found out that this strange place could be called home because of the love that he had for the people.
I am so grateful that the Lord allowed Randy to go through each and every struggle in his young adult years. They have not injured him, but have rather developed him into a seasoned soldier of Jesus Christ. He has proven himself steadfast, determined and capable of overcoming any adversity. God has uniquely prepared him for this particular ministry. It is without any reservations that I recommend Randy and Naomi Shull to you and your church as missionaries to Cambodia

It is with great pleasure and confidence that I recommend the Shull Family as missionaries to Cambodia. Randy grew up in a godly Christian home. Valley Bible Baptist Church had the privilege of first meeting his parents and family while they were on deputation and then supporting them during their years in Cambodia. We always considered them some of our best missionaries. Randy was prepared by God to minister in Cambodia through his time there. He has an infectious love for the Lord. He walks with God. He is a gifted musician and preacher. He has been used of God to touch many lives. He has a heart for ministry.
Naomi is my daughter. She spent her life at Valley Bible Baptist Church. She was saved and baptized at the age of 6. She attended our Christian School and graduated with honors. She served on bus routes, in Sunday School classes, as a Christian School teacher, as our church pianist, and in any capacity in which she was called upon. In all these areas, she always served with joy. There is much fruit that remains at Valley Bible Baptist Church where her walk with Christ has been evident to all.
Gad has placed Randy and Naomi together and given them a burden and vision for Cambodia. I am confident that God will greatly use them for His cause in seeing souls saved and churches planted. I am confident that an investment in their lives and ministry will be an investment in eternity.
